Whether you’re arriving to explore the Old Quarter or start an adventure in Vietnam, the first thing you need to do is… get out of the airport! The airport is located about 30-35 km from the center, so a little planning is required.
Don’t worry: here are all the transport options, from the most affordable to the most comfortable, with prices, durations, and tips to help you choose the best route.
Local Bus (bus 86, 07, 17) 🚌
- 💸Price: 10,000 – 45,000 VND (~0.40 – 1.60 €)
- ⏱Duration: 60 to 90 min
- 📍How to do it: Go to the bus terminal at the airport, buy your ticket on board or at the counter.
Classic Taxi 🚖
- 💸 Price: 250,000 – 400,000 VND (~10 – 15 €)
- ⏱ Duration: 30 to 45 min
- 📍How to do it: Take an official taxi at the exit (Mai Linh, Taxi Group), ask for the meter or a fixed price.
Grab 📱
- 💸 Price: 250,000 – 350,000 VND (~10 – 14 €)
- ⏱ Duration: 30 to 45 min
- 📍 How to do it: Order via the app (wifi is available at the airport), the price will be displayed directly on the app.
Moto-taxi (GrabBike / Gojek) 🛵
